I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 8 and in 2021 I will be a year 9. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
Today in Hurumanu Digital Tech we had some fun with scratch and Sphero well we didn't really get to play with Sphero as the batteries were low and needed to charge so we went on scratch for the last 15 minutes.
Scratch is an app that you can go on to make cool things like recording your voice and making it look like someone is saying what you said and you can change the way your voice sounds. You can make it sound like a robot or make it slow or fast. You can do many things on scratch. I created a cat spinning around saying, "Hi there!" in a creepy voice, so that is scratch for you.
Sphero is a type of robot that you can control. It is a sphere and it rolls around where you want it to and an ipad will control it.
These 2 thing do have stuff in common. They both have block coding stuff that can be set up.
I would prefer scratch because you can make your own game and make your voice funny and that's what I'd prefer.
I could use scratch to make a game and prove that being a robot is dangerous.

Hi Jesse. I love that photo of the sphero. It is really cool espically how it works in its sphere case. Next time you could show important parts in a bolder text. Could you explain sphero a little more? I feel you could pust some of the end sentences in to paragraphs.
